Undoubtedly one of the most historic franchises in Call of Duty, OpTic is back under the wing of NRG’s co-owner and co-CEO Hector Rodriguez. Kicking off the 2021 CDL season, OpTic Chicago will be represented by two veterans, the T2P duo Scump and Formal, alongside stars Dashy & Envoy. With multiple championships under their belt & Game Fuel in their system, this OpTic squad is on the hunt for the 2021 title

- Scump won the CDL 2020 Veteran Player of the year and Duo of the Year (FormaL) awards. Scump was a 2016, 2017, and 2018 CWL Pro League All-Star
- FormaL was the first competitive FPS player to win a major LAN event in both Call of Duty and Halo. FormaL won three events with three different teams across three different games in a two month period
- Dashy's first Major championship win was at the CWL Las Vegas Open 2019, where he was the MVP of the tournament. Dashy is tied with Crimsix and Seany for the most kills in a single 4v4 Search and Destroy match at a major championship with 20 versus Rise Nation at the 2018 CWL Dallas Open
- Envoy was on the Geared 4 Gaming roster, that had 4 players named Dylan. Envoy won the CDL 2020 Clutch Player of the Year and S&D Clutch Player of the Year awards.
